About the wine

Sunny and fertile landscapes of the coastal region give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the South African winery Neil Ellis conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Tasting note
Deep dark reflective paint This multi-faceted wine shows dark plum, cherry and blackberry fruits that are touched by elegant floral notes. The palate is fresh with chalky, fine-grained tannins.
Culinary recommendation
A fantastic accompaniment to bobotie, boerewoors, osso buco or a braised oxtail.
Vinification
The southwest-facing vineyards consist of 20-year-old bus vines that grow on decomposed granite. Fermentation is initiated in stainless steel tanks and the mash is subjected to a series of push downs and pump overs. The alcoholic fermentation is completed in wooden barrels and the malolactic fermentation is completed. The wine matured for 16 months in 500 liters of puncheons made from 40% new French oak.
