About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Christoph Tiefenbrunner is absolutely proficient in his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the picturesque and fertile landscape in South Tyrol. If we can offer something special for Christmas 2021, it is this strong red wine 2016 — Toren Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva. Tasting note
TOREN Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva is a strong, finely structured and balanced wine of dark garnet red. Its complex bouquet initially tempts you to perceive a spicy tobacco note, which is then gradually replaced by fruity cassis and lingonberry nuances. It has a fresh, racy acidity and a distinctive ripe and soft tannin, is intense on the palate and persistent on the finish. A true masterpiece from Tiefenbrunner and available in a very limited edition!

Flaschenpöstler-Tipp: Toren Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva passt perfekt zu rotem Fleisch, Gruyère Burger und Ribeye Steak. Unsere Empfehlung: Der Rotwein schmeckt am besten bei leicht gekühlten 17°-18°C.
Vinification
Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are only aged as TOREN in climatically optimal years and when they reach absolute full maturity. After harvesting, they are carefully destemmed and removed from green parts. The alcoholic fermentation takes place during the three-week maceration period. Biological acid degradation takes place during storage in barrique barrels for one year. After the wine remains in the tank for clarification for another six months, the TOREN Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva is bottled for a further two years of aging.
