About the wine
The Extra Brut Extra Old consists exclusively of reserve wines. These come from the 1988, 1996, 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010 vintages and were aged on the lees in stainless steel tanks for at least three years. After disgorging, they rest in the bottle for another three years. The dosage is extremely weak: three grams per liter.

Tasting note
Color: Intense with golden reflections, very fine bubbles Nose: Richness and fullness, aromas of ripe stone fruit and a fine yeast note paired with aromas of pickled lemons. Palate: Powerful yet silky start, very light perlage. Then freshness, minerality and purity. Particularly long finish with salty nuances.
Culinary recommendation
Veuve Clicquot created this blend to capture the essence of the yellow label and present a pure, dynamic wine with length and depth. On the palate, it shows aromas of ripe stone fruit and toasted notes and ends in an exceptionally long finish with a slight hint of salt.
Vinification
Extra Brut Extra Olt has double maturation on the yeast. Maturation in vats on fine lees for at least three years before blending. A further three years of aging in the cellar on the lees after bottling.
