About the wine
Sunny and graceful landscapes of the Douro Valley give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Portuguese winery Quinta dos Murças conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. You will certainly enjoy the delicious Assobio DOC Douro, which was produced in 2015.
Tasting note
Clear ruby red. The open bouquet belongs to a young wine because it not only has attractive fruit, but also bitter nuances. In the body, cassis and blackberry aromas are complemented with dark cocoa, followed by a long aftertaste of fruit and bitter chocolate.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with charcuterie, barbecuterie and hard cheeses.
Vinification
Harvest by hand, the grapes are destemmed and crushed, cold maceration and fermentation at a controlled temperature (max. 25°C). Ageing: 10% of the cuvée ages in oak barrels for six months.
